Description
The City of Tampa's Logistics and Asset Management Department, Fleet Maintenance Division, is seeking multiple contractors to manage and conduct regularly scheduled live and/or online public auctions for surplus vehicles, equipment, machinery, parts, seized property, and other municipal assets. The contractor must accept all assigned surplus items, remove them from City property within 10 business days after notification, transport and securely store them at an owned or operated Florida facility, market and auction the items, process payments and title transfers, and remit proceeds to the City under an all-inclusive commission structure. The scope includes online auction functionality with continuous real-time bidding, bidder validation, reporting, customer support, marketing, inspection access, vehicle decommissioning and decal or specialized-equipment removal when requested, and detailed post-auction accounting. Proposers must demonstrate relevant auction experience, facilities, staffing, equipment, licenses and dealer credentials, online or live auction capabilities, and the ability to provide required pricing, forms, certifications, references, operational information, and ADA-related materials. The contract is expected to run for three years from the effective award date, with two additional one-year renewal periods and up to three unilateral 30-day extensions.
