The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for evidence impound towing and storage services supporting its Hollister-Gilroy Area Office. The contractor must provide towing, recovery, scene cleanup, secure impound storage, vehicle inspections, release and retention support, monthly storage reports, and related labor, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, and supervision on an as-needed basis, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Services cover light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, rotator towing, motorcycle trailer towing, storage of standard and commercial vehicles, and call-out post-storage inspections. The contractor must maintain an appropriately secured storage facility within the defined geographical regions, meet specified towing-equipment and vehicle requirements, maintain qualified and properly licensed drivers, provide required training and regulatory compliance, and perform at least 75% of the work. The agreement is anticipated to run from March 1, 2027, through February 28, 2030, with a budgetary limit of $244,800. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated bid. The DVBE participation requirement is waived, but eligible DVBE participation may receive an incentive.
