Description
The California Department of Water Resources is soliciting bids for as-needed geological exploration drilling and well drilling services in the Salton Sea watershed. The contractor will support groundwater characterization and vegetation enhancement projects at dust suppression areas, with work performed at a minimum of two and a maximum of six drilling sites under written work orders. The scope includes mobilization, mud-rotary drilling, pilot holes, borehole geophysics, monitoring and extraction well installation, annular backfill and well completion, well development, pump and motor installation, aquifer step-drawdown and constant-rate testing, groundwater sampling, drilling-mud and groundwater disposal, site access and security, and related equipment or special services. The contractor must possess a valid California C-57 Water Well Drilling License, maintain California DIR registration, provide qualified drillers and helpers, meet training requirements, and satisfy a mandatory 3% DVBE participation commitment. The anticipated term is one base year with two additional one-year option terms.
