Description
The City of Orem is soliciting bids for development and testing of production Well #1R for its drinking-water system. The work includes dual-swab well development using a cable-tool rig; furnishing, installing, and removing a test pump with 5,000-gallon-per-minute capacity set at approximately 350 feet; well development and step and constant-rate pump tests; final well disinfection; well bailing; and a color video well log with two DVD copies for the Owner. The contractor must provide the labor, equipment, temporary discharge piping, settling tanks, monitoring, testing, permits, and related incidentals required to complete the work. The bid schedule includes mobilization/demobilization, 300 hours of dual-swab development, 160 hours of well development and pump testing, and lump-sum items for test-pump equipment, disinfection, bailing, and video logging. A preliminary baseline project schedule is required with the bid, and the work is to be substantially complete within 90 days and ready for final payment within 120 days after the applicable contract commencement date.
