Description
Heber Valley Special Service District is requesting bids for construction of three groundwater monitoring wells at its wastewater treatment plant. The work includes mobilization, drilling approximately 8-inch-diameter borings through unconsolidated materials, installing 2-inch Schedule 40 PVC well screens and casings, placing sand packs and bentonite seals, completing surface protections, developing the wells, and providing drilling logs and well reports. The project also includes retrofitting or repairing seven existing monitoring wells, including repair of a broken casing, installation of lockable galvanized steel protective casings and caps, and installation of protective bollards. The contractor must be a Utah-licensed water well driller with appropriate drilling equipment, relevant experience, qualified personnel, safety and quality programs, and at least three similar project references. Mud-rotary drilling is prohibited, and the contractor is responsible for required permits, water and waste management, groundwater protection, and site restoration.
