Description
New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology seeks proposals to establish a pool of qualified entities for indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity deep observation and exploration well services supporting stratigraphic, geothermal, hydrologic, and other subsurface characterization in New Mexico. The primary project involves drilling, logging, and completing a geothermal test well on the institute's campus, with a maximum planned depth of approximately 8,000 feet and anticipated temperatures exceeding 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Future projects may range from 3,500 to 20,000 feet deep. The scope may include site preparation and roads, permitting, drilling engineering and supervision, drilling-rig mobilization, cementing, formation evaluation and wireline logging, coring, fluid sampling, mud logging, disposal of drilling fluids and cuttings, casing and tubing, packers and subsurface equipment, wellhead equipment, plug and abandonment, and site restoration. Proposers must provide project management, technical and safety plans, relevant project examples and references, personnel resumes, required reports, and hourly and unit-rate cost proposals. The initial task order is funded by the Energy Conservation and Management Division of the New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department; New Mexico wage rates govern the initial project, and resident and resident-veteran preference points apply. The initial term is one year, with up to three additional one-year renewals, for a maximum four-year term.
