Description
The City of Groton, Department of Utilities, is soliciting proposals for installation of two permanent water-quality monitoring wells along Route 214 (Stoddards Wharf Road) in Ledyard, Connecticut. The wells are expected to be approximately 45 feet deep, unless refusal is encountered, and constructed with 2-inch PVC casing and screen, filter media sand, a bentonite seal, and a steel protective casing set in concrete with a lockable cover. The contractor must use hollow-stem augers and track-mounted or bombardier-type equipment; collect standard penetration test samples at five-foot intervals; test soil samples; and provide boring logs, test results, and other required documentation. The scope also includes site access coordination, permitting, spill-response materials, safety training, environmental and OSHA compliance, and completion by the end of December 2026. Proposals must include qualifications, technical approach, resources, representative project experience, three additional project references, lump-sum pricing, certifications, and supporting specifications or literature.
