Description
Fort Valley State University is soliciting a contractor to upgrade HVAC systems in the Bond Building and Hunt Library. The work includes removing and replacing Hunt Library supply and return fans with new fan arrays; removing the existing Bond Building air handler and installing a new modular central-station air handler; installing cooling coils, filters, dampers, plenums, variable-frequency drives, electrical distribution, and related concrete pads; and modifying associated ductwork, piping, controls, lighting, and fire-alarm interfaces. The project also requires upgrades to the building automation system, including direct-digital controls, BACnet communications, airflow measurement, static-pressure control, sequences of operation, testing, adjusting and balancing, commissioning support, equipment startup, training, and closeout documentation. The contract is a lump-sum construction contract. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 13, 2026, and sealed bids are due by 2:00 PM on November 3, 2026. The successful bidder must provide a bid bond of at least 5 percent and, before contract execution, 100-percent performance and payment bonds.
