Description
The Macon Water Authority is soliciting sealed bids for a lump-sum project to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to replace four underdrains in the granular activated carbon filter system at the Amerson Water Treatment Plant. The project will be awarded as one contract. The general contractor must self-perform at least 51% of the work. Bidders must purchase the complete contract documents for $150 per set to be eligible to submit a bid. A 10% bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price. Bidders must comply with the stated Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation requirements and hold a Georgia Utility Contractor License; the bidder's license number must appear on the outside of the bid envelope.
