Description
The Macon Water Authority is soliciting sealed bids for the installation and replacement of two 1,000-horsepower motors at the Amerson Water Treatment Plant Reservoir Pump Station. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals; provide and install the motors; laser-align the motors and shafts; provide a crane; remove and replace the pump house roof; remove and transport the existing motors to on-site storage; install new couplings and provisions for vibration sensors; complete electrical disconnections and reconnections; install and verify a vibration system; and perform vibration analysis before and after installation. The project will be awarded as one lump-sum contract with a 180-consecutive-calendar-day contract period beginning on the effective date stated in the agreement. Fifty-one percent of the work must be self-performed. Bidders must purchase the contract documents to be eligible to submit a bid. A 10% bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation requirements also apply.
