Description
The Macon Water Authority is soliciting sealed bids for a lump-sum construction project to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to replace three 75-foot-diameter gravity thickener mechanisms and associated components, rebuild Clarifier #6, and replace three aluminum slide gates with stainless steel gates at the Rocky Creek Water Reclamation Facility. The project will be awarded as one contract on a base-bid basis. The bidder must purchase the contract documents to be eligible to submit a bid. A 10% bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds. At least 51% of the work must be self-performed by the general contractor. Bidders must comply with the stated Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation requirements and affix their Georgia Utility Contractor License Number to the outside of the bid envelope.
