Description
The U.S. Navy is seeking a contractor to provide one 20-foot refrigerator box rated to 38°F and one 20-foot freezer box rated to 0°F for cold and frozen storage during ship availability at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Each unit must have a 32-inch swing door, interior emergency safety release, interior lighting, power cord, and lifting capability by forklift and overhead crane. The contractor must deliver fully assembled, ready-to-use, functionally tested units and provide freight, documentation, and return shipping. The contractor must perform monthly maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers’ specifications, including operational checks and routine servicing. A qualified technician must respond within 24 hours of notification, repair defective equipment within 24 hours, or replace equipment within 48 hours if it cannot be repaired. The quote must include completed pricing information, technical documentation demonstrating compliance, schedule availability, two recent and relevant past-performance projects, and applicable price-support information. The base performance period is October 26, 2026, through October 24, 2027, with three stated option periods.
