Description
Employment and Social Development Canada requires a contractor to provide secure, long-term, on-demand warehousing, storage, inventory management, relocation, packing, crating, transportation, and distribution services for audiovisual, video conferencing, information technology equipment, and related peripherals. The contractor must operate from a single warehouse in Canada within 150 kilometres of either the CN Tower in Toronto or Parliament Hill in Ottawa, maintain at least 30,000 cubic feet of dedicated storage capacity, and support secure access, environmental monitoring, pallet racking, loading docks, material-handling equipment, and a web-enabled bilingual warehouse management system. The initial transition involves relocating approximately 336 pallets and crates from an existing National Capital Region warehouse. Ongoing work includes receiving, inventory tracking, retrieval, packing, custom crating, trackable shipment and delivery to commercial and remote locations across Canada, reporting, chain-of-custody control, and optional warehouse decommissioning and exit services. The contract has an initial period through March 31, 2027, with four optional one-year extensions through March 31, 2031. Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience through three comparable projects, provide warehouse and transportation capability information, complete the transportation method declaration, submit required certifications, and provide an insurance-broker or insurer letter confirming insurability.
