Description
This solicitation is for the manufacture and supply of four straight tailpiece assemblies, piece 73, consisting of pieces 73-S1 and 73-S2, in accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command drawings and specifications. Piece 73-S1 requires ASTM-B369 UNS C96400 material, quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis, traceability, and certification. The assemblies are designated as Special Emphasis Material (Level I) for use in a crucial shipboard system. The contract requires applicable welding or brazing qualifications; dye penetrant, hydrostatic, weldability, thread, and radiographic testing; production radiography and radiographic shooting sketches; a documented ISO 9001 quality system or acceptable MIL-I-45208 alternative; calibration controls; inspection records; and extensive material, test, and certificate-of-compliance documentation. Certification data must be submitted through WAWF for review and acceptance before shipment, and production radiography must be approved before shipment. The amendment changes the quantity from 10 to 4 units and the offer due date to September 25, 2026. It also confirms a total small-business set-aside, a DO-rated DPAS order, and evaluation of past performance.
