Description
The Department of the Navy is soliciting quotes for the repair and refurbishment of two linear direct valves, NSN 7H-4820-014167337-L1, used in a critical shipboard system and designated as Special Emphasis material. The contractor must inspect, disassemble, refurbish, test, document, and maintain traceability for each valve in accordance with the specified drawings, maintenance standards, material certifications, nondestructive testing, radiography, welding controls, packaging, and quality-assurance requirements. The requested repair turnaround time is 213 days, and quotes must state the proposed turnaround time and any capacity constraints. Offerors must provide an estimated full-repair price, teardown-and-evaluation rate, repair turnaround time, throughput constraint, induction expiration date, and the actual or estimated cost of new material for evaluation. Non-OEM offerors must identify the OEM and CAGE code and provide a signed OEM authorization letter on the OEM's letterhead. The solicitation requires a bilateral award and permits the government to apply price reductions for assets that do not meet the required turnaround time.
