Description
The State of New Jersey, through the Department of the Treasury's Division of Purchase and Property on behalf of the Department of Agriculture's Division of Food and Nutrition, is soliciting quotes for storage, handling, inventory management, and distribution of donated USDA Foods supporting the National School Lunch Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program, and Summer Food Service Program. The scope requires dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage within contractor-operated facilities, receiving and inspecting shipments, maintaining temperature and security controls, managing inventory and records, handling damaged or out-of-condition products, and coordinating recipient-agency pickups. The procurement is divided into Southern Jersey (Zone A) and Northern Jersey (Zone B), with up to one contract per zone. Bidders may bid on one or both zones but must provide a facility in each zone bid and price every applicable line for all three base years. The State expects to manage more than 584,000 cases of USDA Foods, with an approximate market value of $20 million; this is a reprocurement of the existing T0303 services. Subcontracting is not allowed. The base term is three years, with up to four one-year extensions.
