Description
The Town of York, Maine is soliciting proposals from qualified independent certified public accountants to perform the required external audits for the Town and School Department for each of the three fiscal years ending June 30, 2027, through June 30, 2029. Proposals may include recommendations for two one-year extensions beyond the three fiscal year term. The audits must be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS), including the Uniform Guidance for federal grant programs (Single Audit). The Auditor will provide an opinion on the financial statements, assist with management's discussion and analysis, prepare required supplementary information, provide a management letter, and assist with other statements as requested. The Town has a population of approximately 14,000 and an annual operating budget of $78,254,736. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope by September 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The contract will be awarded based on evaluation criteria including experience, qualifications, audit approach, and cost.
