The City of Independence is announcing the availability of HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds for Program Years 2025-26 and 2026-27. The total anticipated funding is approximately $931,232, allocated as follows: $475,018.37 for PY 2025-26 (including $369,458.75 for HOME Development, $79,169.72 for CHDO Set-Aside, and $26,389.90 for CHDO Operating) and $456,214.36 for PY 2026-27 (including $354,833.40 for HOME Development, $76,035.72 for CHDO Set-Aside, and $25,345.24 for CHDO Operating). Applicants may request funding from one or both program years. Eligible projects must benefit low- and moderate-income households and support the City's housing priorities. The Request for Proposal (RFP), application requirements, and submission instructions will be available on Public Purchase beginning September 1, 2026. Proposals must be submitted electronically through Public Purchase by 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2026. Paper, faxed, or emailed proposals will not be accepted. Funding awards are subject to HUD funding availability and City Council approval.
