Description
Escambia County is soliciting a licensed general or utility contractor to remove existing gas-fired boilers and associated boiler-room equipment and install owner-provided replacement boilers and pumps. The work includes concrete housekeeping pads, hydronic piping, natural-gas piping, flue work, air and dirt separation, expansion tanks, valves, insulation, testing, cleaning, startup, and related demolition. The contractor must also provide associated controls and electrical work, integrate the new heating-water system with the County’s existing Trane building automation platform, coordinate temporary heating connections during construction, perform testing and balancing, and complete commissioning and owner training. The solicitation requires a lump-sum bid, a 5% bid bond or qualifying check, and separate payment and performance bonds for the successful bidder.
