Description

Escambia County is soliciting bids from qualified, licensed Florida general contractors or underground utility and excavation contractors to complete Phase I infrastructure improvements for a new Escambia County Area Transit facility. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, transportation, and incidentals for utility and stormwater infrastructure. The scope includes erosion and sediment controls, selective clearing and grubbing, sanitary sewer, potable and reclaimed water, natural gas, electrical and communications utilities, stormwater ponds and drainage systems, temporary paved roadways and parking lots, stabilized subgrades and base materials, temporary stabilization of disturbed areas, and related site work. The project is subject to federal CDBG-DR and HUD requirements, Section 3 provisions, Davis-Bacon requirements, domestic-preference provisions, insurance requirements, and construction bonding. The contract requires substantial completion within 300 consecutive calendar days after the written Notice to Proceed and final completion within an additional 30 calendar days.
