Description
Escambia County is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the east-facing second-floor window glazing at the Matt Bell Building and the Ordon's Orvis Building in downtown Pensacola. The work includes replacing six storefront glass panels at Matt Bell, three rectangular panels and five arched panels at Ordon's Orvis, for a total of 14 panels. The contractor must field-verify dimensions and conditions, furnish and install tempered dual-pane low-e energy-efficient glass, preserve existing frames wherever practicable, obtain approval before any frame replacement, match the existing appearance, and provide seals, gaskets, related components, removal and disposal, protection, cleanup, permits, testing, shop drawings, product data, samples or mock-ups, warranties, and daily reports. The bid is submitted electronically through the County's e-procurement portal. A 5% bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check is required; physical checks must be delivered to the Office of Purchasing before bid opening. The submission also requires the bid form, specified certifications and affidavits, references, business and professional licenses where applicable, insurance evidence or a letter of insurability, a proposed subcontractor list, and a current W-9. The work is to be substantially completed within 60 consecutive calendar days after the written Notice to Proceed, with final completion within 90 consecutive calendar days. Separate payment and performance bonds are required after award.
