Description
The City of Pensacola is soliciting proposals for decommissioning and demolition services at the southern portion of the former Baptist Hospital campus. The project includes removing unsafe and obsolete structures, mitigating environmental and public health hazards associated with regulated hazardous building materials, eliminating blight, and preparing the site for safe, resilient, and sustainable redevelopment. The work is funded in part through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery program and must comply with applicable federal, state, and local procurement, labor, civil rights, Section 3, contractor outreach, and reporting requirements. The solicitation is an RFP for in-person demolition and related site-preparation services. Electronic bidding is required, and the bid package includes three addenda and eleven specification parts. Addendum 3 confirms a revised proposal deadline of September 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Central time.
