Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is seeking a contractor for a unit-price maintenance dredging contract at the Pensacola Harbor Entrance Channel. The work requires hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredges, trailing suction hopper dredges, and/or mechanical dredges with scows, capable of dredging to a depth of 39 feet. The dredging operation must include crews, management staff, tugs, and other floating support equipment normally required for large-scale dredging. The material is maintenance sand typical of the Pensacola Entrance Channel. Dredged material will be placed west of the channel along Perdido Key Beach, with a maximum beach-placement pumping distance of approximately 30,000 feet.
