The Connecticut Department of Transportation is seeking one prequalified consulting firm to provide construction engineering and inspection services for Project 0171-0529, a medium-complexity assignment under the Bridge Deck Preservation Program. The work involves inspection and administration of bridge deck preservation projects addressing deck deterioration, membrane waterproofing replacement, concrete deck repairs, asphalt overlays, bridge expansion joint replacement, and repairs to bridge deck ends across various bridges in District 1. The selected firm must provide adequately staffed, experienced, and licensed personnel, including a Resident Engineer and an anticipated Office Engineer. Proposed staff must demonstrate relevant bridge construction, bridge painting, limited-access highway construction, maintenance and protection of traffic, construction project administration, and familiarity with Connecticut Department of Transportation standards and procedures. Required certifications include NETTCP HMA Paving Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, and ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor. The contract will be cost-plus, fixed-fee, with the prime consultant performing at least 50% of the work using its own employees; joint ventures are not permitted.
