Description
The Connecticut Office of Policy and Management's Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division is accepting applications for state-level Edward R. Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant subawards. Eligible applicants include state agencies, nonprofit organizations, coalitions, intermunicipal groups, task forces, federally recognized Tribal Nations, and private entities proposing statewide or regional criminal justice projects. Funding may support planning and technology, law enforcement, mental health programs and education, pretrial diversion, corrections, and reentry. Eligible costs and examples include criminal justice hardware and software modernization, data and analytics initiatives, multi-jurisdictional task-force personnel and equipment, fentanyl and methamphetamine detection equipment, opioid reversal agents, officer and correctional-staff wellness programs, public defense services, treatment-connected diversion, and reentry and workforce-development services. Up to 12 months of performance may be proposed. Subrecipients must submit quarterly financial and progress reports and performance-measurement data, and applicants must meet federal registration, financial-management, and non-supplanting requirements.
