Description
Western Suffolk BOCES is soliciting quotations for as-needed background checks and drug screening services. Background-check work must include Social Security traces; searches of criminal records in all counties where an individual is known to have resided, including aliases and maiden names; applicable federal and New York exclusion, licensing, sex-offender, child-abuse, and Medicaid-disqualified-provider checks; and delivery of actual reports as proof. Drug screening must use a SAMHSA-certified laboratory and follow applicable federal guidelines, including screening and confirmation testing, split-sample procedures, Medical Review Officer review, chain of custody, and testing for the NIDA-5 substances using urine, hair, or blood specimens. The vendor must be licensed by the New York State Department of Health and provide a copy of the license, five similar school-district or comparable-agency references from the past three years, any reference laboratories or subcontractors, and required litigation information. The solicitation also requires accessibility compliance for proposed software, hardware, and web deliverables, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and a current ACR/VPAT where applicable. The initial contract runs from award through June 30, 2027, with three additional one-year extension options; purchases are as needed and quantities are estimates.
