Description
The Texas General Land Office and Veterans Land Board are soliciting proposals for a one-year emergency-purchase contract to manage and operate the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home. The facility has 160 beds, including 30 Alzheimer’s and related dementia beds, and requires operation as a licensed and certified skilled nursing facility serving veteran and non-veteran residents. The operator must provide comprehensive medical, nursing, administrative, financial, billing, admissions, staffing, training, information-systems, HIPAA, transportation, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, nutrition, dining, pharmaceutical, therapy, social-service, resident-rights, and regulatory-compliance functions. The response must include a technical and operational plan, company and staffing information, comparable references, cost proposal, financial and regulatory disclosures, and a VetHUB subcontracting plan. The contract is effective November 16, 2026, through November 15, 2027, with no renewal options.
