Description
The City of Austin is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide citywide security guard and mobile patrol services for multiple departments and facilities. The scope includes routine security, mobile patrols, access control, site surveillance, incident and daily activity reporting, crowd management, event security, emergency response, and related staffing and supervisory services. Services may be required 24 hours per day, seven days per week, with locations and staffing levels subject to change based on departmental needs. The City may request armed security services during the contract term, but armed-service pricing is informational only. Offerors must demonstrate at least five consecutive years of similar experience and continuously maintained Texas security licensure for the five years preceding the solicitation closing date. Contractors must provide qualified, trained, screened, licensed, and supervised personnel; uniforms; patrol vehicles, golf carts, and site-specific equipment where required; electronic reporting and timekeeping systems; training and retention plans; and pricing for complete service groups. The City intends to make multiple awards by group, department, service offering, or another combination deemed advantageous. Addendum No. 2 confirms that no bid or performance bond is required and requires acknowledgment of the addendum with the response.
