Description
The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for general electrical maintenance and repair services at correctional institutions throughout the state. The contractor will provide preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair of electrical systems, installation and replacement of wiring, panels, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and other components, as well as minor renovations and upgrades to meet current codes. Services are required for 143 facilities across four regions, divided into eight zones. The contract term is up to five years with possible renewal. Vendors must be Florida Certified Electrical Contractors with at least five years of experience in commercial or governmental electrical work. The award will be based on the lowest grand total hourly labor rate per zone.
