The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services intends to enter into a single-source contract with Helifire, LLC, doing business as Field Support Services, for Dragon Egg Ignition Spheres. The products will be used by the Florida Forest Service to conduct controlled, or prescribed, burns as part of state forest management efforts, including hazardous-fuel reduction, wildfire response, and wildfire prevention. The notice states an approximate contract amount of $49,140, with an amount up to $100,000. Helifire, LLC is identified as the exclusive U.S. distributor for Dragon Fire products and the only distributor capable of fulfilling the Florida Forest Service's required large orders.
