Description
The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor for the Coyote Ranger District Office roof replacement project. Work includes removing and replacing approximately 8,000 square feet of existing roofing; replacing damaged sub-roof decking, estimated for bidding at 30%; installing 24-inch ice and water shields along roof eaves; installing approximately 700 linear feet of metal gutters with 14 downspouts; and installing eight 21-inch by 85-inch skylights. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, disposal, and related work, while protecting the building, employees, and public during construction. The new roof is to be an interlocking standing-seam metal roof with specified performance and material requirements, accompanied by related flashings, ridge vents, underlayment, and accessories. The contractor must submit manufacturer literature and shop drawings for applicable roofing, gutter, downspout, and skylight products, as well as certificates of compliance for standing-seam metal roofing, sub-roof lumber, gutters and downspouts, underlayment, and skylight windows. The quotation must include a technical approach addressing schedule capability and any requirements the offeror cannot accomplish, pricing for every schedule line item, a completed Standard Form 1442, the Schedule of Items, and past-performance information. Work must be completed within 120 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, followed by a completion report describing the work, quantities, materials, manufacturer information, instructions, and warranties.
