Description
The City of Norwich is soliciting proposals from qualified HVAC contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and related services for a complete HVAC upgrade at Greeneville Fire Station 2, 446 N. Main St., Norwich, Connecticut. The work includes evaluating existing equipment and conditions; recommending an appropriately sized solution; removing and disposing of replaced equipment; furnishing and installing new commercial-grade HVAC equipment; modifying or installing ductwork, refrigerant piping, electrical connections, condensate drainage, controls, thermostats, supports, and related components; start-up, testing, balancing, restoration, cleanup, and owner training. The City will consider recommended HVAC solutions, ducted or ductless mini-split heat-pump systems, multi-zone systems, conventional equipment, or other alternatives. Proposals must identify the proposed equipment and capacities, areas served, included work, exclusions and assumptions, lump-sum installed pricing for each option, schedule, warranties, subcontractors, and at least three references for comparable commercial or municipal HVAC projects. The active fire station will remain operational during the project, requiring coordination with the Norwich Fire Department and advance approval of planned service interruptions. Required submission items are a Proposal Sheet and Non-Collusion Affidavit.
