Description
Livonia Public Schools is requesting bids for construction of a Thrive fitness track at Garfield Community School. The work includes demolition and site preparation; earthwork, grading, drainage, and utility installation; asphalt walking-track and basketball-court paving; concrete sidewalks, curbs, and turf anchors; synthetic turf; poured-in-place rubber playground and fitness surfacing; topsoil, lawn restoration, and tree planting; and installation of basketball equipment. The project also includes related safety, erosion-control, cleanup, closeout, and warranty obligations. Bidders must submit pricing on a lump-sum basis, identify exceptions, provide licenses, references, insurance and bonding evidence, subcontractor information, addenda acknowledgment, and required affidavits. A 5% bid bond is required, and performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the final contract amount are required for awards of $50,000 or more. The work is subject to Michigan prevailing-wage requirements and is scheduled for May 17 through July 9, 2027, with substantial completion required by July 9, 2027.
