Description
The Washtenaw County Road Commission is soliciting bids for reconstruction of approximately 100 linear feet of concrete barrier wall in the I-94 median near the Willow Run ramps east of Exit 185 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The work includes mobilizing equipment, saw-cutting and removing damaged concrete wall segments, preparing the site, installing epoxy-coated #4 dowel bars, and placing approximately 25 cubic yards of high-early P-NC concrete. Construction must conform to the Michigan Department of Transportation 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plan R-49-G, and the attached retrofit drawings. Work is restricted to daytime maintenance-of-traffic closures, generally Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is contingent on Michigan Department of Transportation authorization and weather conditions. The contractor is responsible for debris disposal, required insurance, site evaluation, equipment, safety, and execution of MDOT Form 426. Subcontracting is prohibited. A 5% bid bond, bidder prequalification or preregistration, and a signed bid proposal are required; bids must be submitted electronically through the designated procurement portal by the stated deadline.
