Description
The Washtenaw County Road Commission is soliciting mineral well brine meeting specified chemical and density requirements, including calcium chloride of 16.5–17.0%, magnesium chloride of 3.4–3.6%, sodium chloride of 6.0–8.0%, specific gravity of 1.22–1.24 at 60°F, and a Baume hydrometer reading of 27–28.5%. Residual brine from crude oil production is prohibited. Bidders must provide a certified analysis of the natural brine and supplier well numbers; the successful bidder must provide additional certified analyses for each 200,000 gallons delivered. Pricing is requested for truck delivery to multiple road commission facilities, pump-off delivery at locations throughout Washtenaw County, optional direct application to roads, and pickup by the commission's tankers at the supplier's facility. The contract is for one year beginning January 1, 2027, with up to two additional one-year renewals by mutual consent. The bidder must provide compliant delivery tickets from certified scales, applicable safety data sheets, and required insurance documentation before contract execution or commencement of work.
