Description
Livonia Public Schools is soliciting a single-prime contractor to perform summer 2027 roof replacement and remediation at Coolidge Elementary School, Garfield Community School, Roosevelt Elementary School, and the Churchill, Franklin, and Stevenson High School annex buildings. The work includes removal of existing roofing systems; installation of reinforced EPDM membrane roofing, asphalt shingles, insulation, flashing, coping, gutters, downspouts, roof drains, roof hatches, curb extensions, and related accessories; substrate and roof-deck repairs; sheet-metal wall panels; temporary protection; debris removal; and coordination with the Owner's mechanical contractor where specified. The annex specifications also include asphalt shingle replacement and optional fascia cladding and gutter/downspout work. Bidders must use the provided bid forms, submit two signed copies, provide the required sworn and notarized familial-disclosure and Iran Economic Sanctions Act statements, an Equal Opportunity Statement, and bid security of 5% for applicable proposals. The work is scheduled to begin June 7, 2027, and be completed by August 13, 2027. Performance and labor-and-material payment bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Sum are required for contracts over $50,000, and the specifications require insurance, manufacturer warranties, contractor warranties, and relevant roofing experience and references.
