The City of Malibu is seeking proposals from qualified transit and charter operators to provide dedicated shuttle operations for large-scale, city-sponsored special events within Malibu, including events along the Pacific Coast Highway corridor, and specialized bus services for recreational and cultural programming outside city limits, including excursions organized by the Community Services Department. The contractor will provide the vehicles, maintenance, personnel, and supplies required for the services, including wheelchair-accessible vehicles and vehicles accommodating approximately 15, 20, and 24 passengers or comparable capacities. The contractor must maintain a valid California Transportation Charter Permit and comply with applicable California Public Utilities Commission requirements. Addendum No. 1 clarifies that the City will consider lift-equipped school buses if they meet all transportation requirements. The contract term is three years, with an option to extend for up to an additional three years. Proposals must include the requested qualifications, scope understanding, compliance information, litigation history, references, and fee schedule.
