Description
The Attleboro School Department is soliciting bids for a contractor to provide comprehensive school bus transportation services for students in grades Pre-K through 12, including public and private school students, special education pupils, regular education mini-bus transportation, Title I students, specialized K programs, local and out-of-city school activities, mid-day kindergarten transportation, elementary and middle school late buses, and summer school transportation. The contract will cover a three-year period beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2025, with two one-year renewal options for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. The contractor will be responsible for providing approximately 28 regular-size buses (71-passenger) and 12 mini-buses (29-passenger), with the actual numbers potentially varying. Buses must be model year 2017 or newer. The contractor must comply with all state and local regulations, maintain proper insurance, and provide a performance bond. Routes and schedules will be developed in coordination with the school department, and the contractor must adhere to time schedules and safety standards. The contract includes a fuel adjustment clause and provisions for adding or deleting vehicles. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and submit pricing for four proposals, with the award going to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
