Description
The City of San Buenaventura is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive repair services for City-owned light-duty electric vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, and pickup trucks. The scope includes mechanical diagnostics; motor, transmission, drivetrain, brake, suspension, steering, electrical, electronic, HVAC, fuel-system, emissions-control, and tire services; as well as welding and fabrication. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, tools, equipment, diagnostic systems, and parts, using OEM or City-approved equivalent parts. Services are required Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, with emergency and after-hours support for critical fleet operations. Minor repairs must generally be completed within five business days, emergency or priority vehicles must receive expedited service within 72 hours, and major-repair timelines require City approval. The contractor must provide written estimates before work, detailed service reports, status updates, qualified technicians, a minimum 30-day labor warranty, and parts warranties of the manufacturer's standard or at least 24 months with unlimited mileage. The initial agreement term is one year, with four additional one-year renewal options, for a maximum total term of five years. Subcontracting requires the City's prior written consent.
