Ventura County Community College District is soliciting bids for the Ventura College Environmental/Construction Technology Greenhouse and Sitework Project Rebid. The work includes sitework, utilities, foundation construction, and installation of a new 48-by-24-foot greenhouse located north of the existing head house. The greenhouse structure, systems, and operating components will be owner-furnished, and the contractor must include a qualified greenhouse-construction consultant with at least two prior greenhouse project references. The project requires a current California Class B contractor's license, Department of Industrial Relations registration, prevailing-wage compliance, and a mandatory job walk. Bidders must submit the District's bid forms, subcontractor list, non-collusion affidavit, bidder qualifications statement, bid security, and verification of DIR registration. A 10% bid security is required; payment and performance bonds are required upon award. The contract provides for 60 calendar days of performance after the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delayed completion.
