Description
Boulder County Building Services, a division of Public Works, is soliciting bids to replace one existing 10,000-gallon aboveground fuel tank with a new 10,000-gallon UL-2085 aboveground storage tank divided 60/40 for unleaded and diesel fuel. The tank will be relocated to a new concrete slab with protective bollards, while the existing slab will be demolished and replaced with new paving. Contractors may bid on all or selected bid-tab items. The project includes new dispensers, fuel-system components, testing, excavation, gravel fill, backfill and compaction, concrete work, disposal of demolished asphalt and concrete, and related electrical work. The existing tank must remain in service until the new tank is operational. The new dispensers should use a 3/4-inch gasoline hose at 10 gallons per minute and a 1-inch diesel hose at 16–20 gallons per minute, preferably in one two-hose combo unit. The tank may be supplied by an equivalent manufacturer meeting the specified capacity, configuration, listing, dimensions, site constraints, and appurtenances. Initial fuel filling is not the contractor’s responsibility. The desired completion is the beginning of the third quarter of 2027; the warranty period is one year, and no liquidated damages apply.
