Description
Santa Margarita Water District is soliciting bids for construction of the La Paz Road 30-inch recycled water pipeline project. The work includes a below-ground 30-inch CMLC welded steel recycled water pipeline, air and vacuum valves, blow-off facilities, a 42-inch steel casing installed by auger boring beneath La Paz Road with settlement monitoring, tie-ins to existing 12-inch and 18-inch recycled water pipelines, and installation of a new 12-inch domestic water pipeline. The scope also includes excavation, backfill, paving, concrete, striping, traffic control, potholing and utility surveying, site restoration, and coordination with the City of Mission Viejo, the Oso Creek Water Reclamation Plant, and World Cup Soccer Park. The project requires a Class A – General Engineering contractor license, California Department of Industrial Relations public-works registration, a 10% bid bond, and submission of required bidder certifications and fleet-compliance documentation. The contract documents specify an 18-month completion period beginning with the Notice to Proceed and award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
