Description
The City of Los Angeles is soliciting bids to properly abandon a former Venoco oil pipeline along Heath Avenue and Century Park East, from Olympic Boulevard to Pico Boulevard. The work includes approximately 40 feet of 4-inch steel pipe and 3,065 feet of 6-inch steel pipe, and must comply with City of Los Angeles and Office of State Fire Marshal requirements. At bid time, the contractor must possess a valid State of California Contractor's License Classification A. The project is subject to the City's Local Business Preference Program, which provides bid-evaluation reductions for certified local, city, small-business, transitional-employer, and qualifying subcontractor participation. The three apparent low bidders must submit escrow bid documents in sealed containers to the Board of Public Works Office within 48 hours after bid receipt.
