Description
The City of Florence is seeking a licensed and qualified contractor to construct the Stadium Road Water Line Extension. The scope includes approximately 800 linear feet of 6-inch waterline along Frontage Road, approximately 1,350 linear feet of 6-inch waterline along Stadium Road, four 2-inch water services with approximately 1,164 linear feet of service tubing, one 1-inch water service with approximately 246 linear feet of service tubing, and associated water appurtenances. The contractor must furnish all materials, equipment, and labor, except for the City's stored 6-inch PVC waterline, which the contractor must coordinate and pick up from the City's wastewater treatment plant. The construction time limit is 90 consecutive days. Bidders must be official plan holders and appear on the project plan holders list. A bid security of at least 5% is required, along with 100% payment and performance bonds. The contractor must provide fire, extended coverage, vandalism, and malicious mischief insurance equal to the actual value of the insured property during construction. Electronic bids are not accepted, and bidders must hold a South Carolina contractor license with WL classification.
