Description
The City of Aurora, acting through Aurora Water, is seeking a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for improvements to the Walker Augmentation Reservoir Complex. The project includes preconstruction services such as constructability reviews, value engineering, scheduling, cost estimating, risk management, subcontractor procurement, and development of initial cost estimates and guaranteed maximum prices, followed by construction through two anticipated work packages. The anticipated construction scope includes rehabilitation of approximately 2,570 linear feet of 42- and 48-inch reinforced-concrete inflow pipeline using grouting, cured-in-place pipe lining, and manhole lining; rehabilitation of approximately 1,300 linear feet of 48-inch outflow pipeline; reservoir slope improvements and a new spillway; two 48-inch trenchless interconnect pipelines; wet-well structural strengthening; a new pump station building with submersible pumps, mechanical equipment, compressed-air systems, electrical equipment, variable-frequency drives, controls, and instrumentation; improvements to the Brighton Ditch diversion structure; approximately 4,400 linear feet of access roadway; and approximately 4,200 linear feet of fiber-optic communications line. The proposal must address relevant alternative-delivery, pump-station, pipeline, and reservoir experience, proposed personnel, bonding capacity, subcontractor services, pricing, and the required City forms and attachments.
