Description
The City of Commerce is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to serve as a standby gas utility contractor for natural gas main installation and necessary repairs within the city's service area. The scope includes polyethylene gas main installation, boring and directional rock boring, valve installation, main tie-ins, service taps and tie-overs, steel tie-ins, blast rock removal, and rock removal. Pricing is requested by unit of work and by fiscal year for 2027 through 2030. The selected contractor will receive a one-year contract with the option to extend for up to three additional years, awarded annually. Proposals must include company background, relevant government construction experience, at least three similar client references located in Georgia, an itemized proposal sheet, required execution and addenda forms, a Georgia security and immigration compliance affidavit, and the required bid bond. A performance bond equal to 100% of the contract amount will be required upon contract award. The contractor may subcontract specific tasks if needed.
