Description
The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a single contractor to provide comprehensive printing, mailing, and distribution services for Coloradan, its alumni magazine. The contract will cover nine issues beginning with the Summer 2027 issue and continuing through the Spring 2030 issue. Each issue will be approximately 64 pages plus a cover, produced in three customized editions, and distributed to approximately 200,000 recipients nationwide. The contractor must provide high-volume, five-color magazine printing with full bleeds, spot varnish, specified or equivalent FSC-compliant paper, proofing, binding, trimming, wafer tab application, insertion of supplemental materials, and quality control. The scope also includes secure receipt and processing of confidential mailing data, secure file transfer, NCOA processing, CASS certification, variable addressing and edition matching, use of a nonprofit USPS mailing permit, nationwide mailing, delivery of approximately 500 copies of each issue to the University, and reprinting documented short-count quantities at no additional cost. Proposers must submit technical and cost proposals, the completed CU Solicitation Form, any proposed variances, at least three higher-education references, and at least two recent publication samples, with samples delivered before the proposal deadline.
