Description
The City of Lafayette is soliciting construction bids for replacement of Pretreatment Train No. 1 at the Baseline Water Treatment Plant. The work includes demolition and replacement of existing horizontal flocculation equipment with six vertical propeller flocculators, replacement of undersized plate settlers, installation of a telescoping hoseless Trac-Vac solids collection system, installation of two horizontal centrifugal solids pumps and associated solids piping, and related valves, supports, access platforms, ladders, and structural work. The project also includes replacement of the pretreatment building heating and ventilation system, electrical wiring and controls, process piping, site work, erosion and sediment controls, testing, startup, operator training, and closeout documentation. Construction within Pretreatment Train No. 1 is restricted to the period when the train is offline, generally November 1 through April 1, and the contract time is 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
