Description
Leq'a:mel First Nation is seeking a qualified and experienced Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) general contractor for the validation, design, and construction of water system upgrades intended to improve drinking water quality, storage, treatment, and distribution. The work includes a disinfection facility with ultraviolet and chlorine disinfection and pH adjustment; building, concrete, process piping, yard piping, electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation work; and a below-grade concrete reservoir with 1,900 m³ capacity, booster pumps, and fire pumps. The scope also includes upgrades to two existing wells, new pumps and submersible pressure transmitters, wellhead raising, decommissioning of an existing pumphouse, site raising and retaining-wall construction, an outdoor electrical cabinet, connections between the wells and new disinfection facility, and approximately 4,500 m of community watermain with service lines and 20 fire hydrants. The procurement encourages innovative design, materials, processes, and delivery models.
