Description
The City of Hephzibah is soliciting one general contractor to construct additions to its existing water pollution control plant. The scope includes a bar screen and structure, wastewater treatment system with electrical room and blowers, chlorine contact chamber, earth excavation, backfilling, grading, concrete structures, piping, electrical and mechanical work, painting, grassing, erosion control, and related appurtenances. Bidders must hold a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and employ a state Utility Manager certificate holder to oversee the work. The project requires substantial completion within 365 consecutive calendar days and final completion within 395 days. A bid bond of at least 5% of the lump-sum bid is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds.
